MySpace Social Network

MySpace social network is one of the largest online networking sites with over 100 million users. Its headquarters are in California, USA and it is owned by Fox Interactive Media which in turn is owned by News Corporation.

You must be 13 years or over to sign up and if your age is set at between 13 and 15 years you are protected by automatic privacy settings which restricts your profile from being viewed by the public. Once your age is registered as 16 years or more you have the option to change this setting to allow public viewing.

Free to use, once you have registered some of the things you can do include:

  • Search for old and find new friends
  • Post up your profile which can be customised using the themed page templates
  • Upload photographs, videos and music onto your profile
  • Create your own URL which you can use as your personal web address
  • Use the blogs, instant messaging, forums and messages for keeping in touch
  • Receive and comment on updates on the status of your friends
