For Business Networking Manchester, there is a group which meets fortnightly in Whitefield operated by Business For Breakfast (BforB).

Established in September 2008 this group has quickly grown to a membership of 15 highly committed and dynamic members from a variety of sectors.

The group has a goal of increasing membership to 20 in early 2009 and most meetings are open to guests to attract new contacts and potential members to the group.

BforB has a reputation for combining a strong business focus with a friendly and informal atmosphere so that genuine business relationships are quickly fostered. From this sound base members share their contacts and pass business and referrals thus helping one another grow their businesses.

The group is run by its members for its members lead by a 3 person executive team.

The format of the meeting

The meeting starts with informal networking and a light breakfast followed by the following meeting format:

• 60 seconds – members and guests each present a brief overview of what their business is and what they do
• Business spotlight – 10 minute presentation provided by one group member
• Networking break
• Learning point – a gem of wisdom shared by a group member
• Contributions section – attendees are invited to request one to one meetings with members and guests, referrals passed and testimonials given. There is no pressure for guests to contribute, just provide brief feedback on their experience of the meeting

• Increased business through the passing of quality referrals and leads from other members
• Only one member per business sector is allowed to join a group thus ‘locking out’ the competition.
• Sharing of networks of all the members so ready access to a pool of potential customers, expertise and recommended suppliers
• Supportive environment with the opportunity to meet and share ideas and experiences with like-minded businesses people
• Free membership workshops to help members get the most from their networking
• Free business advice offered by members

Membership

There are annual, 6 monthly and 3 monthly options.

What is expected of members:

• Regular attendance at fortnightly meetings
• Regular one to one meetings between individuals so members can get to
• know one another's businesses and how they might help each other
• Promotion of one another's business during the conduct of our own, passing on leads, referrals and testimonials
• Bringing of guests to group meetings to extend the group’s network
• A commitment to help each other

Guests

Guests are always welcome with no obligation to join, as long as their sector does not conflict with that of an existing member. Guests are asked to pay £10 to cover the cost of the venue and refreshments.

Business Networking Manchester Groups

Fortnightly meetings are held at the prestigious venue ‘Slattery’, patisserie and chocolatier, 197 Bury New Road, Whitefield, M45 6GE. This venue allows easy access from the M60 motorway.
