Creating Twitter Backgrounds

Log into your account and you'll see a series of links in the top right corner, click on the one marked “settings”. Next click on the tab at the top of this screen marked design and this will take you into the area where you can select a background.

There's loads of options t choose from but in order to customise your own design you have to start with one of the standard templates.

There's really not much to say about it other than that and a couple of hints:-

• Keep you design simple, some put up a design that is repeated and most of these have the effect of blurring the vision of anyone visiting your home page.
• Make the design relative to your business so that in an instant anyone can see exactly what it is that you business does.

Whilst it's nice to have a great design to back up what you are tweeting, don't waste too much time on seeking perfection after all it's the content of what you write that is going to be of interest to most and consider also that many people already use Twitter tools to manage their social networking and these people won't see your background at all.
